Qualifications

• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and in-depth content knowledge.
• Ability to integrate curriculum with GCPS policies and best instructional practices.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
• Ability to infuse technology to increase student learning.
• Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, staff, students, parents and community.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate command of the subject taught and align with AKS objectives.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on AKS.
• Plan instruction to ensure mastery of prerequisite knowledge.
• Analyze student work to determine instructional needs and adjust plans.
• Prepare lesson plans supporting AKS objectives for all students.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and feedback.
• Organize content and sequence for effective instruction.
• Utilize research-based instructional strategies and technology.
• Create a productive classroom environment and manage behavior.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in professional growth.
