Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Reading Academies certification for TK-3, bilingual and ESL certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess and track each student’s progress; adjust instruction and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology as a communication and educational tool to boost achievement.
• Apply a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture fostering a productive learning environment.
• Establish cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed to meet student needs.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and after-school duties.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
• Commit to 40+ hours on campus per week.
• Additional responsibilities may include after-school tutoring or Saturday school.
