Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks an experienced IDEA Academy Teacher to implement state learning standards, deliver rigorous instruction, and track student progress toward college readiness. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess mastery, and engage families with regular updates.

Strong content knowledge and classroom management are essential. The role offers a competitive starting salary with eligibility for stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred)
• Licenses or Certifications: Reading Academies certification for K-3 or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred, content and ESL certification preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess and track each student’s progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
