Job summary

New London-Spicer School District seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional for Prairie Woods Elementary School. Responsible for assisting students with IEP goals, supervising during meals and breaks, and supporting classroom activities throughout the day.

The role requires today’s paraprofessional with knowledge of IEPs, behavior plans, and ability to work with teachers, nurses and families in a busy elementary setting. Training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IEPs and student behavior plans.
• Ability to communicate with teachers, case managers and parents.
• Proficiency with standard office software and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students during all school periods including meals and breaks.
• Assists students with clothing and movement between classes.
• Supports students with classwork and sensory breaks; monitors schedules and medical needs.
