Job summary

Evansdale Elementary School is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional to support teachers and students. The role emphasizes implementing IEP-directed instruction, assisting with health-related needs, and providing small group or 1:1 instructional support in alignment with district policies.

The paraprofessional will help maintain a safe, structured learning environment, monitor student behavior, and participate in required trainings while upholding FERPA confidentiality and district standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required and passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment is required.
An associate degree or higher from a PSC-approved college is required.
Minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA of 2.0 or higher from a PSC-approved college.
A PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

Support teachers by providing direct instructional support to students under supervision.
Deliver small group or one-on-one instruction as per lesson plans.
Assist with data collection, progress monitoring, and recordkeeping.
Implement accommodations and modifications per IEPs and participate in professional training.
