Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
• Knowledge of special education practices and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Support students with special needs per IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement teaching strategies.
• Assist with classroom management in a positive way.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Perform administrative tasks such as grading and keeping student records.
