Idlewood Elementary School is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves supporting students with academic, behavioral, and health-related needs under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, required.
An associate degree or higher or 60/90 college hours with GPA 2.0+ from a Georgia PSC-approved college.
Valid PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

Assist students with physical and personal care needs per IEP under supervision.
Provide small group or one-on-one instruction as per lesson plans.
Support health-related care needs and daily health procedures as trained.
Monitor behavior and assist with classroom management to create a productive environment.
Assist with data collection and progress monitoring under supervision of SPED teacher.
Maintain confidentiality of student records per FERPA and district policies.
