Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional at Grovecrest Elementary to support the instructional program for students with special needs in a resource classroom. You will assist in implementing plans, monitor behavior, and provide clerical support to teachers.

Responsibilities include adapting activities to meet IEP goals, supervising students, administering basic first aid, and communicating progress to staff.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials to support classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers first aid and basic medical assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests, homework, and make‑up work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self‑care activities to maintain hygiene.
• Provides instruction to individuals or groups to reinforce learning goals.
• Attends trainings and meetings to stay informed on job functions.
• Communicates with supervising staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 objectives.
• Models appropriate social and interpersonal behaviors for students.
• Implements behavioral plans identified in IEPs under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Monitors students across various school environments for safety and learning.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Provides instruction to reinforce objectives and support student success.
• Reports incidents and observations to appropriate personnel.
• Supervises and escorts students to classes for a safe learning environment.
