Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for our Elementary program. You will lead instructional planning for students with IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction in a learning center or classroom and aligning activities with state standards.

Collaboration with staff and families is essential to support student growth. You will prepare detailed daily lesson plans, utilize educational software, and contribute to a PBIS-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required or in progress.
• IL PEL credential required or in progress.
• IL LBS1 credential required or in progress.
• Crisis management training certification desirable.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in alternative/special education.
• Experience with IEPs and special education services.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with educational technology and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Design dynamic, personalized learning experiences.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in center or classroom.
• Create lesson plans aligned with standards and IEP goals.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with staff to support student growth.
• Implement PBIS strategies and monitor behavior.
