Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher for elementary students. You will lead instructional delivery, develop IEPs, and collaborate with staff in a learning center or classroom.
The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, PBIS, and use of educational software to meet each student's needs. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and IL PEL and LBS1 credentials, or progress toward them.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- Active IL PEL credential or in process.
- Active IL LBS1 credential or in process.
- Experience with IEPs and curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
- Deliver differentiated instruction and co-teach as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Track progress and prepare detailed lesson plans.
- Incorporate PBIS and school-wide behavioral strategies.
- Adapt content for diverse learning needs and emergencies.
