Job summary

Colorado Springs School District 11 is seeking a Building Manager (Elementary) for the Physical Facilities department in Colorado Springs, CO. The role oversees maintenance, minor repairs, safety, and supervision of staff within an elementary school setting.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a 260-day schedule and salary per the ESP Schedule. Starting immediately, report to the Custodial Area Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of building custodial experience with at least one year in a school district.
• Completion of district required courses is required.

Responsibilities

• Unlocks building to begin the school day.
• Opens inside doors and turns on lights.
• Conducts walk through inspections to determine cleaning and repair needs for the day.
• Inspects for vandalism and safety.
• Cleans sinks, floors, sweeps and vacuums and dusts.
• Cleans restrooms and drinking fountain; checks boiler and air handling units.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Completion of district required courses

Three years of building custodial experience with at least one year of experience in a school district
