Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a paraeducator for elementary duties on a part-time basis. The role focuses on supervising students in hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas, while supporting staff with copy room tasks. Instructional support is not part of this position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Physically working in the building.
Good communications, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to work with technology and computers.
Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.
Ability to supervise students.
Ability to take direction.
Must maintain regular attendance.
Must lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors and data/people tasks.

Responsibilities

Supervise areas where students gather (hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, bus areas, lunchroom).
Support teachers/administration with copy room duties.
Perform other duties as assigned (not involving student instructional support).
