Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with academic and behavioral needs in both in-person and virtual settings. The role reports to the school leader and Education Specialist and involves small-group and one-on-one instruction aligned with the instructional program.

The position is 12-month, non-exempt, with a salary range of $20.92–$24.84 per hour and additional 60 days of school break pay, leading to an annualized pay that exceeds district peers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus A.A. degree or B.A. or 48 college units, or ParaPro test passing.
• Paid or volunteer experience with individuals having academic/behavioral needs preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and ability to use instructional tech (Zoom/Nearpod).
• Bilingual skills reflecting student populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning.
• Assist in implementing behavior plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Foster positive relationships between students, families, and staff.
• Provide testing accommodations and assist with progress data.
