Job summary

Washoe County School District in Reno, Nevada seeks an experienced Nutrition Services Elementary Manager to lead an elementary kitchen, supervise staff, and coordinate daily meal preparation and service for breakfast, lunch and special menus.

You will train workers, oversee inventory and records, and handle cash deposits while maintaining strict food safety standards and working closely with administrators, teachers and parents.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional school food service is preferred.
• Must obtain ServSafe certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and assist employees in meal prep and service.
• Train and direct staff; manage inventory and records.
• Prepare and deposit monies; reconcile daily cash sales.
• Maintain sanitary and safe kitchen environment per WCSD standards.
• Maintain accurate records of meals served and personnel.
