Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Worker I at Vaughn Middle School in Reno, NV. Under supervision, you will assist in preparing and serving meals across breakfast, lunch and a la carte options, potentially at a central kitchen or school site.

Qualifications

• Experience with institutional food service is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and clean commercial kitchen equipment.
• Prepare and serve meals for breakfast, lunch and a la carte items.
• Process transactions at the point of sale and assist with cash reconciliation.
• Train new NS Trainees and supervise student workers.
