Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Nutrition Services Elementary Roving Manager to lead kitchen operations at assigned elementary sites and to provide district-wide support as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, training employees, managing food service, inventory, and cash handling while ensuring USDA and Health Department compliance in a fast-paced educational environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; SafeSchools courses within first year.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year preparing/serving food.
• Licenses/Certificates: ServSafe cert within 60 days; maintain per Health Dept.
• Other: Travel to district sites; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations at elementary sites and support district-wide needs.
• Supervise Nutrition Services staff and train new employees.
• Order, receive, and inventory food, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain records and reconcile meal payments per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, District, and Health Department standards.
