Job summary

Broward County Public Schools seeks a Mathematics Coach to provide personalized support based on teachers' identified needs at Sanders Park Elementary in Pompano Beach. The role emphasizes coaching toward better classroom culture, instructional strategies, and differentiated instruction for English learners and students with special needs.

Ideal candidates have a Florida teaching certificate, five years of teaching experience, and experience in teacher leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an educational field or mathematics.
Florida Teacher’s Certificate in Elementary Education and/or Secondary Mathematics.
Minimum five (5) years of related teaching experience within the last eight (8) years.
Complete Broward County Public Schools’ Instructional Coach Development and Credentialing Program within two (2) years of assignment.
Two (2) years of teacher leadership experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills related to instructional practice.
Demonstrate skillful use of coaching language.
Ability to establish and maintain confidential relationships with adults.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized support based on identified needs of individual teachers.
Offer strategic content-focused mentoring to develop instructional skills.
Help teachers establish positive classroom culture and climate.
Assist with implementing instructional strategies and differentiating instruction.
Support analysis of student work and data to inform practice.
Engage in peer coaching with teachers.
