Job summary

Broward County Public Schools seeks a Mathematics Coach at Blanche Ely High in Pompano Beach to provide personalized support based on teachers' identified needs, focusing on classroom culture, instructional strategies, and differentiating instruction.The coach will collaborate with colleagues, lead professional learning, analyze data, mentor teachers, and help English language learners and students with special needs access high-quality math instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an educational field or mathematics and a valid Florida Teacher’s Certificate in Elementary Education and/or Secondary Mathematics.
• Minimum five years of related teaching experience in subject area within the last eight years.
• Complete Broward County Public Schools’ Instructional Coach Development and Credentialing Program within two years of assignment.
• Two years of experience in teacher leadership roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for instructional practice and coaching language.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support based on identified needs of individual teachers.
• Foster growth through differentiated coaching, content mentoring, and collaboration.
• Support development of positive classroom culture and climate.
• Analyze student work and data to guide instructional decisions.
• Engage in peer coaching with teachers and support ELL and students with special needs.
