Job summary

Broward County Public Schools in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Mathematics Coach to provide personalized support based on identified needs of individual teachers and differentiated mentoring to foster growth and development in instructional practice.

You will collaborate with teachers to develop skills in classroom culture, implement effective instructional strategies, analyze student work, differentiate instruction, and support English language learners and students with special needs through

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education or mathematics with valid Florida Teacher’s Certificate.
Five years of related teaching experience in the last eight years.
Complete Broward County Public Schools’ Instructional Coach Development and Credentialing Program within two years of assignment.
Progressively more responsible educational experience with at least two years in teacher leadership roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as it relates to instructional practice and working with teachers.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized coaching based on identified needs of individual teachers.
Offer differentiated mentoring to foster growth and development in instructional practice.
Help teachers develop skills in establishing a positive classroom culture and climate and implementing effective instructional strategies.
Analyze student work and data to inform instructional decisions and differentiation.
Engage in peer coaching with teachers and support English Language learners and students with special needs.
