Job summary

Rockford Public School District 205 seeks an Elementary Library Paraprofessional to support library operations and classroom instruction. Under supervision of the Principal and Library Media Specialist, you will maintain collections, read aloud to students, and assist with selection of resources for instruction.

Your role includes clerical duties, circulation, inventory, reporting, and helping students navigate the Destiny Library System.

Qualifications

• Maintain library collections and assist in classroom instruction.
• Provide reading aloud sessions and support for teachers.
• Operate library systems and prepare reports and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Shelving and inventory to keep materials up to date.
• Assist teachers, students and staff in locating resources.
• Handle circulation, overdue lists and weekly reports.
