• Works with the district media specialist to provide library media services to the school
• Purchases books, teacher resources, and digital resources in the media center to ensure patrons' needs and state instructional standards are being met
• Performs media center day-to-day operations including report gathering, inventory management, circulation, catalog maintenance, patron inquiries, and student supervision
• Reads to students and provides lessons that demonstrate the library management system, research, and proper use of library resources
• Works with classroom teachers to make resources available for units (e.g., displays, pulling resources)
• Attends professional development
• Supports literacy initiatives and participates in reading activities
• Engages elementary students in a positive manner
• Organizes and takes initiative

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Works with the district media specialist to provide library media services to the school
