Alpine School District in Utah is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and assist in supervising and caring for special needs students in the resource classroom.

You will implement IEP goals, adapt activities, monitor behavior, provide first aid, and perform clerical tasks to support teachers. This position is non-contract with no benefits and hours are 3 per day.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under supervision to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health needs.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Provides instruction in individual or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and meet academic goals.
