Khan Academy is seeking an experienced Elementary ELA Content Creator to join the Assessments team for a 24‑month fixed term. You’ll help develop K‑12 assessments, ensure alignment to state standards, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver engaging, equitable assessments for grades 3–5 learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in grades 3-5 ELA assessment development.
• 2+ years classroom experience teaching elementary ELA.
• Deep knowledge of state and national standards.
• Growth mindset with interest in AI-assisted content creation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation of K-12 assessments, aligning with blueprints and standards.
• Use and improve item management systems and workflows.
• Ensure items align with state standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to enhance assessments.
• Experiment with new item types enabled by AI technologies.
