Job summary

Pearson seeks a Specialist within the Content Development team to create and review K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will balance content expertise with AI-enabled workflows to ensure accessibility and alignment with standards across grade levels.

Collaborate with educators, psychometricians, and Pearson teams to build item types, specifications, and testing forms. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience is required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content areas and educational trends.
• Experience with large-scale educational assessments is a plus.
• Excellence in AI-supported content development or readiness to leverage AI effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels and formats.
• Develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with educators and Pearson teams to integrate AI-generated assets.
• Select, train, and manage item writers and educators for standards-based items.
• Support customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
