The role focuses on implementing IEPs/BIPs, maintaining a safe classroom, and supporting students through proactive strategies and data collection. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• The role requires prior experience with children, especially those with behavioral or special needs.
• Training in trauma-informed practices and behavior intervention is preferred.
• Ability to follow structured behavior plans and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing IEPs and BIPs for students.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support for behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Use proactive strategies, positive reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques.
• Support self-regulation, problem-solving, and social skills development.
• Document student behavior and progress as directed.
