Job summary

Rochester Community Schools, Hugger Elementary, in Oakland Township, Michigan, is seeking a Special Education ASD Paraeducator. The role is full-time (7 hours/day, 5 days/week) with employment aligned to the 2026-2027 calendar.

Starting immediately, the position offers an hourly wage of $18.00 per hour under the Rochester Paraeducator Association Master Agreement. The successful candidate will support students with disabilities, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with teachers and staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact appropriately with students, parents, and staff.
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance required.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from building staff and work with the program team.
• Assist with routine classroom tasks and support instruction as needed.
• Assist with physical mobility and daily living activities as required by students.
• Support the development of instructional materials and implement student learning plans.
• Supervise students during activities outside the classroom and during transitions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by special educators or building principal.
