Job summary

Rochester Community Schools is seeking an ASD paraeducator to support students with disabilities at West Middle School. This full-time role runs 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday, following the 2026-2027 school calendar, and is paid under the Rochester Paraeducator Association Master Agreement.

The position requires working with students with disabilities, assisting with instructional tasks, mobility support, and behavioral management, while maintaining confidentiality and reliable

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Excellent attendance, flexibility, and ability to meet physical and academic needs.

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from staff responsible for student learning plans.
• Assist with orientation, reading, music, art, PE and other curriculum tasks.
• Follow through with prescribed behavioral management programs.
• Develop instructional materials and support individual student programs.
