Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with students, parents, and staff.
• Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from staff responsible for student learning plans and participate in program delivery.
• Assist with orientation, reading, music, art, physical education and other curriculum tasks.
• Follow prescribed behavioral management programs and support instructional staff.
• Assist with development of instructional materials and adapt activities to individual needs.
• Help with physical mobility, self-care and daily living activities as needed.
• Supervise students during activities outside the classroom and support classroom operations.
