Job summary

Northborough-Southborough Public Schools seeks a Registered Behavior Technician for the Neary Elementary School, providing ABA interventions in a school setting and supporting students individually or in small groups. The role reports to the Principal or designee and requires working with the Student Services team.

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers, strong communication with families, data collection, and adherence to IEPs, with duties including supervision and physical task

Qualifications

• Registered Behavior Technician Certification
• Childcare or working with children in a daycare setting or school
• Written language, technology and interpersonal communication skills required
• Associate degree or 60 college credits; ParaPro may substitute for education
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, special education, psychology or related field
• Classes in education, special education, psychology or related fields preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher to include the student in all aspects of the school day
• Implement academic and social programming and strategies as developed by the team
• Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined on the IEP and developed by the team
• Implement behavior plans as developed by the team
• Assist in data collection
• Promote social interactions throughout the day
• Support students with adapted living skills as needed
• Communicate regularly with families or as directed by the school team
• Maintain confidentiality about all personal information regarding the student and family
• Assist in all aspects of the school day including supervision
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Principal
• Maintain consistent and on-time attendance
• Able to perform required physical tasks
