Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Washington is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians in invasive testing and treatment within the Electrophysiology Lab. The role provides specialized technical support for diagnostic mapping and related procedures, while troubleshooting equipment with Clinical Engineering to maximize uptime.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a two-year invasive cardiology program.
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
  • Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or equivalent.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • 1 year invasive cardiology lab experience or Electrophysiology certificate/degree (for Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
  • 2 years cath lab/IR experience (for Radiologic Technologist).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the physician in the invasive testing and treatment in the Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Provide specialized technical support for precise diagnostic mapping of patient-specific lesions and related testing and treatment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate with Clinical Engineering to maximize equipment functionality and minimize downtime.

Job description

Description

Assists the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab. Responsible for providing specialized technical support and assistance to the physician in the precise diagnostic mapping of patient-specific lesions, related testing and treatment of adult patients. This position troubleshoots equipment problems and works closely with Clinical Engineering staff to maximize the functionality of the equipment and minimize downtime.

Required qualifications
  • If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be a graduate of a two-year invasive cardiology program.
  • Coursework/Training: If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
  • Upon hire: Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - recent Invasive Cardiology Laboratory experience or graduate of certificate or degree program in Electrophysiology.
  • 2 years If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist must have cath lab/IR experience.

Compensation

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
