Qualifications

  • Graduate of a two-year invasive cardiology program or Radiologic Technology program.
  • Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or Washington Radiologic Technologist certification required at hire.
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at hire.
  • National Provider BLS and ACLS certifications required at hire.
  • 1 year invasive cardiology lab experience or graduate of electrophysiology program if qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
  • 2 years if qualifying as Radiologic Technologist with cath lab/IR experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in invasive testing and treatment in the Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Provide specialized technical support and assist with precise diagnostic mapping of patient-specific lesions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and work with Clinical Engineering to maximize functionality and minimize downtime.

Job description

Assists the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab. Responsible for providing specialized technical support and assistance to the physician in the precise diagnostic mapping of patient-specific lesions, related testing and treatment of adult patients. This position troubleshoots equipment problems and works closely with Clinical Engineering staff to maximize the functionality of the equipment and minimize downtime.

Required qualifications:
  • If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be a graduate of a two-year invasive cardiology program.
  • Coursework/Training: If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
  • Upon hire: Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification Or
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - recent Invasive Cardiology Laboratory experience or graduate of certificate or degree program in Electrophysiology.
  • 2 years If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist must have cath lab/IR experience.
