Aventra Defense Systems is seeking an Electronics / Test Technician II who bridges hardware assembly and engineering design. You will lead complex prototype execution, SMD rework, and board bring-up while troubleshooting failures and programming manufacturing equipment.

You will work with engineers to validate new designs and run in-house lab tests. The role requires strong analytical skills, IPC awareness, and the ability to mentor Technician I staff.

Competenze

• Associate degree in electronics/electrical technology or equivalent; additional trade or military electronics training a plus.
• 3+ years of hands-on electronics assembly, rework, and debug experience.

Mansioni

• Perform advanced SMD rework and reflow, including fine-pitch, QFN, and BGA removal/replacement under microscope using hot-air and reflow profiles.
• Lead board bring-up on prototype and first-article boards: power-up, sequencing checks, functional verification, and iterative debug with design engineer.
• Diagnose and root-cause hardware faults to the component level using DMM, oscilloscope, bench supplies, and logic tools; implement fixes.
• Perform in-house lab tests (thermal-vacuum, battery tests, stress tests) under Engineering direction; refine bring-up and test procedures.
