Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH seeks a Technician 2 to support development engineering efforts in a defense and high-technology environment. This on-site temporary role involves assembling and testing electronics and electro-mechanical prototypes under supervision.

You'll follow schematics, run tests, isolate faults, and collect data with oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, and signal generators. Eligibility requires over 30 hours/week for at least 10 weeks; associate degree or electronics certificate is required, with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electronics, or equivalent military electronics training.
• Completion of safety and ESD training within one year of start date.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic devices using schematics and test equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Soldering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, modifying, and assembling electronic and electro-mechanical prototypes or test equipment under supervision.
• Follow schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to conduct testing, troubleshooting, and prototype assembly tasks.
• Perform operational tests and isolate faults to ensure systems meet design specifications.
• Diagnose malfunctions to the component level for repair or further analysis.
• Collect data during engineering tests using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, VOM, DVM, and signal generators.
