Job summary

Aventra Defense Systems in Herndon, VA is seeking an Electronics / Test Technician II to bridge hardware assembly and engineering design. You will lead prototype execution and in-house lab tests under the Engineering Team, including thermal‑vacuum, battery cycles, and stress tests.

The role requires strong debugging skills, IPC/ESD discipline, and collaboration with engineers to validate new designs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics/electrical technology or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on electronics assembly, rework, and debug experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced SMD rework and board bring-up on prototype and first articles.
• Diagnose and root-cause hardware faults to component level and implement fixes.
• Perform in-house lab tests, develop bring-up procedures, and feed findings to engineering.
• Mentor Technician I staff and ensure IPC/ESD standards are followed.
