Job summary

Aventra Defense Systems in Herndon, VA is seeking an Electronics Technician I to translate engineering designs into functional hardware through hands-on assembly, soldering, and testing. You will follow drawings, work instructions, and procedures under the supervision of engineers.

The role emphasizes precision, dexterity, and daily manufacturing tasks, including PCB assembly, wire harnesses, SMT line operation, and documentation of as-built work.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years hands-on electronics assembly experience.
• Demonstrated soldering skill on through-hole and basic surface-mount parts.
• Able to read electrical schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs and wiring diagrams.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Citizenship verification for ITAR access.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronics, PCB assembly, connector assembly, and enclosure fitting.
• Perform SMT line tasks including pick-and-place setup and reflow basics.
• Apply conformal coating and environmental protection to boards.
• Document work, logs, and test data; maintain an ESD-safe bench.
