Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electronics Technician to support the Strategic Microelectronics program. You will deconstruct electronic components and help design fixtures, software, and testing techniques to drive process improvements.

The role requires hands-on electronics experience and safe handling of microelectronics, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and pursue a US Government Secret Clearance. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field.
0-1 year of experience with electronics components.
Hands-on handling/testing of microelectronics parts.
Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics.
Ability to obtain/maintain US Government Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
Office software proficiency (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
Strong written and organizational skills; detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

Active role in deconstructing electronic components.
Translate hands-on experience into solutions to improve processes.
Support development by designing fixtures, software, and non-traditional techniques.
Make technical decisions using test equipment and systems.
Discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or government representatives.
