Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking an RMA Technician to conduct manufacturing verification, engineering validation, functional testing, and fault isolation on production units.

You will troubleshoot both digital and analog circuitry to component level, document results, and recommend repairs to restore performance. The role is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Electronic Technician Certificate and/or AS Degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and access export-controlled information.
• Available to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment.
• Calibrate, align, adjust, and perform final functional tests for each unit.
• Log production test data with work order, model number, serial number, and test status.
• Diagnose and determine cause and remedy for defective assemblies and components.
• Troubleshoot to the component level for both analog and digital circuitry.
• Report increased trends in failures and initiate root-cause investigations.
• Perform physical inspection to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Operate equipment safely according to procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
