Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Winona, MN is seeking a Training Coach to mentor coworkers, monitor progress against Training Plans, and perform production work to maintain required skills.

You will monitor scheduling, complete checklists, review progress with trainees, and provide status updates to the production supervisor weekly, while ensuring documentation accuracy, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a coaching or training role for entry‑to‑mid‑level production positions.
• Completion of the BEI “Train the Trainer” class.
• Possession of a Coach Certification Checklist (or equivalent certification).
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and training others on process instructions, schematic drawings, and manufacturing routings.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, tracks, and schedules training with new coworkers.
• Completes training checklists, including recertifications.
• Reviews training progress with trainees and provides weekly feedback; adjusts plans as needed.
• Provides documented training status updates to the production supervisor on a weekly basis.
• Reviews documentation in PFS for accuracy, quality compliance, and updates.
• Works with supervisors and engineers to continuously improve the quality of the production training process.
• Inspects trainee work and samples based on competency, reducing sampling as proficiency grows.
• Cross‑trains coworkers in various manufacturing operations to meet production goals.
• Performs operator duties defined in the job description when not training.
• Leads by example, supporting Benchmark Core Values, policy, and objectives.
