Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking an Engineering Technician - Electronics for its West Los Angeles, CA headquarters. This 100% onsite role reports to the Director of Hardware Engineering Operations. You will perform testing, debugging, and assembly tasks on RF, digital, and mechanical designs.

The position demands strong schematic literacy, SMT soldering, and hands-on lab skills with RF test equipment, plus IPC‑A‑610/J‑STD‑001 familiarity. U.S.

Qualifications

• : Read, interpret and navigate complex electrical schematics, PCB layout prints, assembly drawings, BOMs.
• : Hands-on SMT soldering and replacement of fine-pitch components.
• : Experience with RF hardware testing and lab instrumentation.
• : Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards.

Responsibilities

• : Perform detailed functional, parametric, and performance tests on RF, digital, and mechanical designs.
• : Set up environmental stress tests including thermal cycling and vibration.
• : SMT soldering and assembly of prototypes and fixtures.
• : Read schematics to diagnose component-, board-, and system-level issues.
• : Calibrate and operate lab instruments (VNAs, oscilloscopes, analyzers).
• : Document results and update SOPs.
