Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks an Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team. After a year of training in Baltimore, you may relocate to Palmdale, CA for a two-year assignment, with travel benefits provided.

You will install and test a phase array sensor system, work within a multidisciplinary MS team, and support mission operations, testing, and field activities. A background in AESA radar and related engineering fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with airborne AESA radar/communications systems or related engineering backgrounds.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends, as required by the customer.
• Willing to work in Baltimore for initial training and after Palmdale assignment.
• Willing to travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS).
• US Citizenship and current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with installation and test support of a phase array sensor system.
• Work as a knowledge expert on an MS team with sophisticated equipment.
• Provide monitoring and operational guidance.
• Post-installation and shop floor testing coordination with other platform systems.
• Pre-mission system test support and testing coordination.
• Collect, evaluate and report test results.
• Troubleshoot system and test software/equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Suggest design/procedural changes to improve safety and efficiency.
• Support field sites and customer meetings; occasional shift work may be required.
