Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an Electrical Engineer for the Radar Integrated Product Team to design, develop and integrate RF subsystems for a ground-based radar. You will lead hardware architecture discussions, specify components, and coordinate with subcontractors through SRR, PDR, and CDR milestones.

The role requires a strong Systems Engineering background, experience with RF measurement and GB radar components, and the ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years experience OR Master’s with 3+ years OR PhD with 1+ year
  • Experience with LNAs
  • RF signal chain analysis
  • RF lab environment experience
  • RF test equipment (noise figure, phase noise)
  • Experience with component integration and checkout
  • Ability to read and develop engineering drawings and electronic BOMs
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering principles
  • Experience with CAMEO
  • Travel up to 10% domestically

Responsibilities

  • Define radar IPT hardware architecture
  • Develop component specifications and procurement requirements
  • Manage major subcontractors
  • Create Statements of Work for subcontractors
  • Perform compliance analysis on KPIs
  • Characterize equipment in RF lab
  • Document BOM and assembly drawings
  • Develop integration plans and procedures
  • Support assembly, integration and checkout of hardware
  • Support design trade studies and obsolescence reviews
  • Present to engineering leadership
