Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Staff Electronics Engineer – Test Hardware and Software in Baltimore, MD. You will develop, enhance and maintain test hardware and software for complex electronic systems across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a mix of hardware and software design, experience with RF/test equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting. Clearence at Secret level is required and 10% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret specifications, schematics and diagrams.
• Hybrid mix of hardware and software design experience.
• Proficient in text-based programming (C, C++, C#).
• Strong RF theory knowledge and test/measurement background.
• Experience leading test hardware/software design from requirements to certification.

Responsibilities

• Understand design to cost, scope, and schedule.
• Define requirements and derive test hardware/software requirements.
• Design electromechanical test fixtures and software solutions.
• Provide manufacturing support during hardware build.
• Integrate test fixtures and software into a functioning solution.
• Certify test equipment per customer requirements.
• Support test system deployment and factory operations.
• Lead reviews of hardware designs and technical documents.
