Saab AB in the United States is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and international needs. The role involves developing category strategies, supplier selection, spend analysis, and risk management within a defense and security context.

Requirements include a BA/BS in a related field, 8+ years of experience (or 6+ with a Master’s), strong financial and electronics background, and leadership and negotiation

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and award of first-time contracts with stakeholders.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics suppliers.
• Support win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
