Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing across North America and beyond. You will develop category strategies and manage suppliers for electronics, driving improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.

The role requires extensive experience in sourcing, strong electronics knowledge, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and international affiliates. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award for new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand spend and supplier base.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics through SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including international affiliates to determine future needs.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring system.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
