Job summary

Saab AB is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and international needs. The role emphasizes developing category strategies, supplier evaluation, and spend analysis to drive value, mitigate risk, and ensure quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Engineering)
• 6+ years with a Master’s degree or 8+ years with a BA/BS in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain
• Strong electronics technical background

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value in QA, delivery, cost, innovation and sustainability
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation and award for new suppliers
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities
• Support win-biz by vetting and onboarding critical suppliers
• Analyze data to understand spend and supply base
• Conduct market research and analyze trends for electronics category
• Identify risks and opportunities with SWOT and risk assessments
• Collaborate with international Saab affiliates to determine future needs
• Create an adaptable electronics supply chain
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes
• Perform spend analysis to find cost reductions and lead cost-reduction initiatives
• Participate in quarterly business reviews for key suppliers
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supplier base
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions
• Develop/modify SOPs and work instructions
