Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician to support the build and testing of complex electronic systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. This role focuses on prototype development and low-to-mid volume production, requiring strong electro-mechanical assembly and precision soldering skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electro-mechanical or electronics assembly in manufacturing or R&D environments.
• Hands-on experience building cable harnesses and wiring assemblies (cutting, stripping, crimping, heat shrinking).
• Strong soldering skills with small surface-mount components (0402 or similar).
• Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and assembly instructions.
• Experience using standard test equipment for troubleshooting and validation; IPC certifications (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
• Experience with fine-pitch or high-density electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with ESD protocols and handling requirements.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated industries.
