Job summary

EVONA in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking an Electronics Assembler to join its Engineering team. You will work with engineers to assemble, modify and rework electronic hardware during new product development, with most work on prototype builds.

You will solder small surface-mount components under a microscope (including 0402), read assembly drawings, perform PCB rework, wire termination, harnessing and chassis wiring, and install heatsinks, fans and relays. This is an onsite, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electronics assembly and soldering experience; ideally 3-5 years.
• Solder small surface-mount components under a microscope.
• Read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Identify components and understand polarity and orientation.
• Experience with cable assembly, crimping, harnessing and chassis wiring.
• Confident with soldering irons, hand tools, torque tools and calipers.
• Understand IPC-A-610 or similar quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and organization.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies and RF modules using drawings and work orders.
• Solder SMT components under a microscope; rework PCB as needed.
• Perform wire termination, crimping, harnessing and chassis wiring.
• Install heatsinks, fans, covers, relays and transformers.
• Inspect assemblies for accuracy and solder quality.
• Identify errors and communicate corrective actions to Engineering.
• Follow electronics assembly quality standards and internal procedures.
