Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. IntelliPower in San Diego is seeking a PCBA Assembler, 1st shift, to prepare and perform routine electronics and mechanical assembly at unit and module levels. You will assemble components, inspect boards, and apply coatings per drawings and ECOs, while following procedures and safety rules.

The role requires blueprint reading, SMT experience, IPC-610/J-STD 001 certification, and 3–5 years of related work, with overtime possible Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• IPC-610 or J-STD 001 certification
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Experience with SMT on PCB assemblies
• Proficient with hand tools and measurement devices

Responsibilities

• Assemble components to final configured product using drawings and process instructions
• Read assembly drawings and wire lists; suggest process improvements
• Perform rework from test failures and apply ECNs to boards as needed
• Apply coatings and inspect boards for voids or bridging
• Operate designated tools and equipment and maintain safety standards
