Job summary

United Security & Communications, Inc. in the Washington DC–Baltimore area is seeking an Experienced Service Technician – Electronic Security to install, maintain, and repair access control, IP video, intercom, intrusion, and related hardware.

You will diagnose issues, perform field service visits, document activities, and work with project managers and other technicians to deliver high-quality service. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally are required.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance and repair skills for electronic security systems.
• Proficient troubleshooting for complex integrated systems.
• Field service experience including on-site visits and commissioning.
• Customer service skills and professional on-site communication.
• General maintenance including preventive maintenance and documentation.
• Experience with access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Comfort using hand tools and networked devices in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in the DC–Baltimore area.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems (access control, IP video, intercom, intrusion).
• Diagnose system issues and perform troubleshooting procedures.
• Complete field service visits and preventive maintenance.
• Explain findings on-site and document service activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to deliver timely service.
