The Electronic Security Service Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and maintains CCTV/IP camera systems, access control, and intrusion systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote support, preventive maintenance, and documentation of configurations, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction in a field-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion).
• Strong understanding of IP networking, switches, PoE, and basic routing.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, cable tester, laptop-based utilities).
• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring standards and installation best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift equipment and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test CCTV/IP camera systems and NVRs/VMS platforms.
• Install and service access control systems (card readers, door hardware, controllers, biometrics).
• Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems, sensors, panels, and modules.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and firmware/software updates.
• Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, fiber).
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
